Our recitals are the perfect venue for you or your child to show family and friends the results of months of learning and practice. Our recitals are organized and designed to eliminate "stage fright" and help performers build self-esteem.
At our music recitals, students get exposed to new musical styles and instruments. The recitals help students stay motivated, encouraged and interested by seeing the progress of their peers.
We hold more recitals each year than any other studio in Cedar Rapids and Marion. We pride ourselves on making them the lowest stress, most enjoyable events you will experience.

Recital Tips

Arrive 15 minutes before the recital to allow ample time to set up. String players should arrive 20 minutes early to allow time to tune.

Musicians should sit with their family before and after performing. There will be recital programs available so you can know when it's your turn to go up and perform.

There is no charge for the music recitals but we do ask that you bring a non-perishable food donation for the food bank if you are attending in person.

The opportunity to share music with an audience is a special occasion. Please avoid wearing athletic shoes or blue jeans. Appropriate dress includes: dress slacks and a nice shirt with a collar, a nice dress, or slacks or skirt with a blouse. For pianists, the correct shoes are crucial for control when the damper pedal is in use. Flat, thin-soled shoes tend to work the best. Thanks!
