Music Lessons
The Marion Music Academy offers both group and individual music lessons. Different students require different teaching approaches. Some students progress best with the peer interaction and class motivation of a group lesson. Other students prefer the focused concentration of an individual one on one lesson. Once a student is more advanced it will be necessary to take private lessons to master the advanced techniques of an instrument or voice with individual attention. We offer 30 minute, 45 minute, and 1 hour lessons for private lessons and 30-45 minute group lessons. Our music teachers have university training in the instruments that they teach. We teach students from beginners to very advanced.

Focus on Teaching
We specialize in teaching. We do not sell or rent instruments of music. This leaves us free to specialize in one thing: providing the highest quality of music instruction.

University-Trained Instructors
Our instructors are highly qualified and many have extensive performing experience. We are serious about providing our students with an excellent education, and also like to make learning music fun. Most importantly, our instructors strive to relate their teaching to each individual student's learning style.

All Ages: Beginners to Advanced
Our current students range from three years old to adult students in their sixties and seventies. We take care to teach what you want to learn so music is rewarding for students of all ages and levels.

Individual Lessons
Different students require different teaching approaches. Some students progress best with the peer interaction and class motivation of a group session. Other students prefer the focused concentration of an individual one-on-one lesson. Once a student is more advanced it will be necessary to take individual lessons to master the advanced techniques of an instrument or voice with individual attention. Make sure that your student has the option to select the learning style that is best suited for them.

Regular Recitals and Performing Opportunities
It is important that students enjoy playing music for others as well as for themselves. The Academy holds recitals at least two times each year to encourage students to share their well-prepared pieces with family and friends. Students are encouraged to participate in the recitals, but it is not mandatory. Students may also prepare for contests, festivals, and competitions if they wish to broaden their performing experiences.

Professional Facilities
A professional school environment can produce better results since the only focus of the instructor and student during the lesson is learning music. In a music school, the lessons are not just a hobby or extra income for the teacher but a responsibility which is taken very seriously.
